We have personalities as well, and just because you think you are ill-suited to the task doesn't mean you are. It doesn't mean making personal appearances every day, like a politician. Rather, a touch of mystery is welcome, even encouraged. We do not want these people we watch over to... how do you say, grow over-reliant on us. Then we would just be babysitting and that's problematic.
Because there are people who believe you are, that is enough. Right now, they are working, living, and celebrating in your name... wouldn't it be unfair not to meet them halfway?
