PRE-OPENING, TEST RUN.

[ Olympus is dressed in its best. On banners strewn across the columns are symbols similar to coats of arms... but these are different. That is your symbol, your way of life. From your chambers, you've reached the Pantheon of the new gods. Strange people dressed in different robes greet your sight, all done up magnificently in jewels and gold, all looking similarly confused but discussing the whys, hows, getting the where am I's out of the way. A woman in white, crowned in strands of magenta jewels, speaks in a booming voice that sounds projected by ways unknown to technology. ]

Her speech, made known.

[ You've been assigned your duties in one fell swoop. The crowd raises its voices with its questions and confusion.

So amidst this, what do you do? ]

He's every excuse to deny that the reality in front of him is not reality. But that's never worked out for him really well. He'll choose to scream where the source of voice came from. ]

[Zelda's a lot more calm about this than most people would be upon being told they're now gods and goddesses in charge of thousands of lives. in fact, it all feels familiar to her. like this is something she's meant to be doing... and in a way, it is.]

It's almost like this is deja vu.

I'm a prospective apper; help me build my sample?

[What does this new arrival do?...be a little baffled, for one. Then astonished, then taken aback.

...Then...very, very flattered. Being a sort of representative for a god - that was enough of a task to handle, and not one Damos had intended to take on. His nature was common, simple, not what people liked to make it out to be.

And now he was a god himself? Where was Arceus? Who were these people?

By the time he's recovered enough from the surprise to get some answers and start talking to his fellow newly-ascended gods, Damos has acquired some familiar familiars - a temple Luxray and Manectric that follow him around looking wary but confident, and an amazed little rodent that is making a valiant effort to stay on Damos' shoulder but more often than not succumbs to her excitement and darts off across the top of the crowd.]

[Hope you don't mind a ringing eardrum or two, as someone spotted that adorable little Pichu, and is nearly squealing in delight, trying to scoop her up]

[Amazingly enough, he actually paid attention to most of that speech, as experience has taught him to listen up when you've been kidnapped by higher forces.

...however, that's not the pressing issue on his mind]

[In a sense, that's a lot how Minako feels as well-- she had been a princess of her own planet in her past life, one who was revered as a child of a goddess. It was like things were coming full circle.]

What do you mean?

[First, Sailor V, then a Sailor senshi...and now this. It's as if life was constantly finding a way to grant her unexpected powers and responsibilities when she wasn't looking for them. The first two were part of her destiny, something she had been reborn to do...but a goddess? Could she really adopt that mantle so easily? She had always been a leader, yes, but always to one under a higher power-- and now she was one of those higher powers herself.

She fingers the sigil on her robes, deep in thought. If only Artemis was here-- he'd probably nag some sense of direction into her]

[she recalls the conversation she'd had with Athena when she had first arrived; she shouldn't let just anybody know about her status as a reincarnated goddess, which is understandable. she bears no ill will toward Minako, of course, but she can't take any risks, either.]

I don't really know to explain it... it just feels familiar, that's all. That's not too weird, is it?

This is too big of a deal to just play along. What if what that woman said is real?

It's. . . really scary, isn't it?

It's not--- it's not right. Some of us can't suddenly skip the rest of our lives to live here forever!

[Pichu squeaks in surprise - "pii-chaaau-!" - and waves her arms around for a moment before stopping and staring up at Minako with a briefer, questioning "pi?", ears flicking a little.

Damos catches up to her a second later, still looking baffled with the whole situation but amused for the moment by Pichu's antics.]

Have you been to the home of a god before?

[Speak a vague musing, get an off-center question.

This guy's moved on from "oh man what is even going on" to "why is everyone here so young" and feeling even more out-of-place. If there's some kind of pattern...reason thing for why him (and by extension why everyone else here), Damos would like to know so he can put his unsureness to rest.]

Well. Someone is obviously taking this turn of events badly. And why not? None of them had been asked about this beforehand. They wouldn't necessarily be prepared, or even equipped for this responsibility.

I'm not going to let my planet detonate because this one needs babysitting... but if the people who dragged us here want us here for that reason, who do we go to?

[ He rubs the back of his head, feeling the golden touch of jewelery around his neck that was all too unfamiliar. ]

I can't take care of people on a normal level, let alone a cosmic one. Who thought this was a good idea?

[A pause as Damos glances across the hall, straightening out his jumbled thoughts.]

The goddess here said that we were chosen, so someone thinks we're all fit for the task. Maybe they know something we don't.

At the least, you're not alone in thinking that way. This is a little more than any of us were expecting.

We're standing in some huge banquet hall in god-knows-- well, okay, even god doesn't know where, wearing dorky period pieces for no good reason. I'm pretty sure it's real to some degree.

[she would understand, just a little-- she wasn't about to go and tell everyone that she had powers outside the ones granted to her, either, and definitely not ones provided by one of the head goddesses herself]

No, no, not at all! I sorta have the same feeling too, in a sense. It's hard to put my finger on, really.

She's not giving me any trouble at all, don't worry. I think the only thing that's troubling is how absolutely adorable she is!

[hearing that response, Zelda can't help but smile. for a brief moment, she wonders if Minako had a similar sort of experience, but ultimately decides it's not something to worry about.]

It's nice to know I'm not alone. I wonder if everyone else feels like this?
